Hello everyone,

Thought I’d do something with a bit less teeth and a lot more heart.

For those of you not familiar with this song, it was written by the great Noel Gallagher for his solo project the High Flying Birds.

Not much to this song – just a few chords and very minimal lead work – but I think the less is more approach is something he’s always be a champion of.

Very good stuff Liam. Can you confirm the tracks you are using are of the high quality karaoke versions that you can selectively remove parts of the song and effectively have a high quality backing track? That last one you posted was really good and I thought it would get flagged as copyright infringement, that would not be the case if it of fair use of a special karaoke track (I think). Just trying to figure out how you are producing this without getting flagged.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Yeah I got the track for this from here – https://www.karaoke-version.com/

I usually strip it back to just vocals bass and drums and then layer my own guitar parts on top. They have pretty much any track you’d want and the quality is great.

As for the copyright thing I think it really depends on the size of your channel. I’ve had things partially blocked in some countries but I think if someone like Brian tried to upload a Jimi Hendrix cover then it would be blocked outright.

Anyway give that site a shot if you’re looking to do a cover I’m sure you’ll get on fine with it.
