Hi guys. I got this old Zen-On Japanese zero-nut classical guitar. Here are some pictures of it while I cleaned it up and put some new strings on it.
Later I’ll do a test for you guys to hear which guitar sounds better, this Zen-On or the Aria Classical guitar, so stay tune. This guitar is all wood and its totally been torn apart, but who ever did the destruction or I should say “tone improvement” sure knew what they were doing. Some of these pictures are a bit blurry.Page 1
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

If you play the 6th string 12th fret, then play the harmonic 12th fret, are they the same? It’s hard to find a classical guitar where they are the same tone, as they should be.

Pete,
Do you speak Japanese or do all the sales folks speak some English? I bet that’s a sweet sounding guitar.Tim

Hi Pete, looks like a nice guitar. Why do you call it a “zero-nut” guitar? I think I see a fret up on the neck side of the nut, thinking that has something to do with it? What are the advantages of having that? Or if it isn’t an advantage, why do they do it?
