August 29, 2018 at 6:19 pm #108416Hi fellow members,
Im a female guitarist. I’m planing to find a female duo musical partner singer and start to gig in some venues with covers only. How would I conduct an audition with the singer? This would be a two way audition, and how should I prepare my parts?
 Thanks all!

August 29, 2018 at 8:24 pm #108420Put your guitar in your hand, now create a song with lyrics that your just made up, if it has a home in your heart and the tonal expressions are there, well, do the same thing in your interview with her. If she can do it in a heart beat, then she is an artist that I even would consider. Of course, there is more to this, but this is the first stair to step on. The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete Pete

August 30, 2018 at 1:57 am #108428Questions I would want to know: Can she always stay on key, or does she get “pitchy” sometimes?
Does she have a good sense of rhythm?
 What is her vocal range?
Does she have a good sense of humor?I would pick a song or two that you both know, give her a few days to practice it, then get together and see what happens. Sunjamr Steve
