Hi folks,
Here is my very humble version of probably the most recognisable guitar riff in rock history.
Simple doesn’t always mean easy and this song is way more tricky than people give it credit for. I found the right hand muting between stabs very challenging and it’s still pretty rough around the edges as you can hear.
Thought I’d use both the LP and SG for comparison but tbh I can’t really tell much difference between them sound wise.
Maybe you’ll hear different.
Thanks for listening.
Liam.

Sounded great, Liam. Those are both great tones, the LP might have had a little more bite but very little to choose between.
Interesting that the main difference between the verse and the chorus was the muting.

Great stuff. I think you are enjoying that new guitar Liamm. I think the Les Paul has more midrange that’s all. Both great tones. Ok- I thought this was going to end without the solo… you outdid yourself…. Fantastic submission. It’s a toss up!
Keep on rockin’ Bro!

That was a great cover Liam. LP and SG both sounded perfect to me. As John H said, the LP sounded like it had a little more mids. But each sounded perfect!

Both sound awesome but the SG has the edge for AC/DC.
Chords changes are fast but you nailed it.
Great soloing.AndréM

You’re officially an honorary Aussie Liam! 🤘🤘🤘 Angus and Malcolm (RIP) would be proud. As above, I reckon SG had more cutting edge, LP had more mids. Sounded fantastic though and great finale when you broke into the solo! Hot Stuff! 🔥🔥🔥 All the best! 😎🎸😎

Really cool, Liam. I always thought AC/DC was a great rocking band but their singer was a bit too edgy for my liking. You did a fantastic job on the guitar parts.

Mighty fine with both Liam! The P90’s on the SG hold their own with the LP buckers.

Impressive cover, Liam, brilliantly played! The rhythm parts in AC/DC can look easy but we all know, when then we try to play them, they’re not easy at all, because the timing and muting must be super precise! And you did a great job with it!.
About the two guitars, they both sound great, but I prefer the LP for the rhythm parts and the SG for the solo: the latter were also played brilliantly. Great job!Guido

That was awesome Liam. A great listen. Impressive solo, wow. Excitement building in anticipation for their tour 2025-26. They are going to Edinburgh, on your side of the world.

That was a top notch performance Liam.
Both guitars are terrific but, like you say, as a listener it is hard to hear much difference between them. Funny thing is guitars can sound very different when we are playing them or , at least, feel very different 🤔
