I’ve looked and thought I saved the lesson but could anyone help me find the lesson on where he explains using the caged system with the root starting on each string. Example- The e shape is for the 1st string and the c shape is for the A string 2nd string.
Eric, EP556 through EP560 cover the CAGED shapes and surrounding scales, etc. Each of those lessons focuses on a different shape with musical examples.
The Lesson SEARCH categories now include CAGED System, have you tried that?
Besides that, you can always simply type CAGED in the lesson search box, which – surprisingly – brings out even more results that the one above.

Eric, Ep552 is the lesson where Brian talks about the formula of CAGED to strings. The strings EADGBE = E shape, A shape, D shape, G shape, C shape, E shape. The odd one out being the B string which uses the C shape.
