I was in the music shop having my Gibson guitar’s nut repaired the other day. I noticed the guitar racks they had. The types that are very stable on the floor with slots for several guitars. Back home I thought that would be great for my instruments. I have individual stands for my instruments (with two kind of forks for the instruments to rest on) but these can be knocked over (I have managed to do that).

The thing is would it be possible to get a guitar rack that accommodated my two guitars, two basses and my mandolin as well? At the moment the mandolin is stored on an electric guitar stand as the prongs to hold the guitar are narrower on this model than on a regular acoustic guitar stand.

It wouldn’t be too hard to make one out of plywood. Other than that, the wall is your best option. Or sell some of your instruments….
