Hi there,
I’ve started dabbling in GarageBand, im having a lot of fun, but realise I need to watch a good tutorial, that’s coming from a guitarist composing songs. Can anyone suggest any good ones?
cheers

I have put together many songs using garage band. I have over a hundred of them. Some with guitar others just using my ipad. Some of them are posted on YouTube. The good thing is that I can always add additional instrumentation to any of them.

Hi Fraser, If you find a good video let me know. I always just search for specific things I need help with. I don’t search as often as I used to so I guess I’m getting the hang of it. Have you tried a search for “GarageBand for guitar”?

I forgot, there is a guide at https://thegaragebandguide.com I found helpful. I also found the “GarageBand for Dummies” book to be extremely helpful.

Hey Fraser, I started off with GarageBand, used it for a couple of years, then saw Brian was using Logic Pro – which is the big brother of GarageBand (they both have very similar user interfaces) so I switched to Logic. But there are thousands of Youtube tutorials on both GarageBand and Logic Pro. I remember watching one that was specifically for guitar players using GarageBand. So if I were you, I would just spend some time searching Youtube. Look for stuff like “Record guitar on GarageBand” etc. Also, if you have a specific question, Youtube is your best source of information. If you want to know how to export your final product as an MP3 file, just search Youtube for “GarageBand export song as MP3”. Also there are lots of beginner tutorials for GarageBand.
