Hello, today I’m the “man in black” with Folsom Prison Blues. This is actually an absolutely simple song with simple cowboy chords. The difficulty and therefore also the effect lies in the absolutely precise execution – and I had some problems with that. I downloaded the vocals and drums from karaoke, and I recorded the lead, bass and rhythm guitars myself. Johnny Cash was one of the greatest.

Your multitalented skills are shining through again Dieter. This one is on my playlist and ‘Yes’ it’s a beauty. Really well played and loved your guitar solo. All the best! 😎🎸😎

Nice job putting the acoustic, electric, and bass together. Nice strumming and picking. It was a really good representation of a classic Johnny Cash tune. I happen to live about 15 minutes from Folsom Prison and drive by it 2 or 3 times a week on my way to Folsom Lake where I take my dog for a swim and a walk.

Bass, acoustic rhythm guitar, electric guitar soloing, all the parts were brilliantly played, Dieter, just like the originals! Another multi instrumental great rendition! You said well, the parts are not over complicated, but precision and timing are essential, and your playing on those instruments was flawless!

Awesome job Dieter, with the multi instrumentals and putting together with precision. It’s a fav. So glad I got see the Man in Black live in concert, back in the 90s.

That was so good, Dieter, and I know what you mean about it needing “absolutely precise execution” – difficult to do at that tempo, so kudos to you 👏👏 👍🎶😎

Deiter,
Very tight and crisp. The Tele sounds fantastic. All three guitars blend nicely. Lead was simple but played adroitly with much SOUL. GREAT COLLABORATION/PRODUCTION. Thanks for sharing.John H.
