For this challenge I thought I would revisit ML061, an original by Brian in Dropped D which has always stood out as a favourite of mine. I’ve merged elements from EP036 and EP354 which drives the intro and vamp. I’ve also included a few other variations of my own to try and keep the mix fresh.
I’m now looking forward to an interesting music weekend.

What a seamless mash up with such a driving beat. Was there another guitar player hidden out of view? Loved it, Richard.

Richard is back!
Great sound, I love that haunting Drop percussive song. And I like how you blended the pieces together.
Loved the reverb and percussive echo and bass. Great rhythm feel.
I enjoyed this very much.I will be visiting Wales in May and hopefully there will be so much sunshine like last year in Devon.
More Blues!

Many thanks for your kind comments Denise. The weather we enjoyed last year in U.K. was exceptional, Wales is beautiful in the fine weather.🫰

That was some solid baseline thumping fingerpicking Richard. Very nice.

Charjo-“Seamless mashup with a driving beat.” I second that. This is so rhythmic and haunting. Love the arrangement, and flawless pursuit of technical mastery. This sure got my attention.John

Great driving track Richard. Interesting effect from the guitar, almost sounded like some slapback delay? Always amazing to watch your finger picking!

You make your submissions look easy but I know they’re not. You produced a driving beat with many melodic elements on top and came up with an awesome piece of music.

What a wonderful Drop D medley, Richard! The base of this, ML061, is very familiar to me as I also play it, which made me appreciate what you did here even more. Love the bouncy rhythm and the short lead ideas in between, sounded exquisite!

The Challenge would not be complete without a Drop D from you and your acoustic Richard. A driving rhythm that chimes away like classy clockwork.
