February 2019 Active Melody Challenge EP251
Well I hope I didn’t miss anyone. Think I counted 33 this time. What was really cool is that I saw many members bring out the Les Pauls. I noticed many Studio models. They are the workhorse of the Les Pauls. Everyone was so professional and I got to say I enjoyed listening to everyone over a bag of wasabi potato chips. 🙂

Sciencefiction : Wow! Notes are speaking of a happy player playing that axe.
David H: Great tone, rhythm playing was bouncing off the dance floor, lead was powerful and colorful
Eric C: A personality of notes singing of mental lyrical thoughts, that’s hard to achieve
bwade913: Like the smoky jazz tone and guitar is a beauty, and the way the movement on the slide gave it a touch of “this is me on my guitar”
Duffy P: My ears tell me that you were going for tone sound that fits well for this tune, you nailed it
Sunburst: Sorry, I forgot to listen to your tune, that guitar is a beauty… lol Really spot on timing with an emotional drive of a convertible bursting red Corvette going down Hwy 66 (cops behind ya)
Dave K: bendville on them strings, some very fine playing
Dieter: guitar tone suits your style on that tune, that got my attention right off the bat, steady rhythm all the way through, nice job of playing
Peter A: Perfectly played, can’t get better then that
James B: snapville on the steps of a Mississippi front porch home along the Mississippi River
Hide (ひで): Felt some south side Chicago blues coming off that fretboard
Charles B: It’s all about movement and the bounce, fine job in achieving that
Martin G: A very young spirit in your playing style, and them’s some colorful guitars, the one you are playing is cool, what brand is it
WBlues: this may sound a bit funny, but your tone and playing reminds me of the clubs in Ft Lauderdale , Florida of the bands that were playing in them in early 70’s, time hit the beach now with a 6 pack
Matthieu H: snappy and right down good playing
Donmati: got a nice swing going on, dance floor type of swing in your playing
Sunjamr: sounding good, Steve, raw playing, yet exciting
richie b: my first thoughts were like “wow” Richie wasted no time blasting away, nice playing
bruce s: something about the style of your playing that wants me to grab my guitar and pretend what you are playing, nice job

Jonathan Amos: simply powerful playing, a flavor of the Whiskey A GO –GO on Sunset Strip I felt in your playing,
graeme c: hey, got start giving you the name of “the groove man” , nice playing and of course “the groove”
Tim W: Tim you got it where I felt you put a lot of effort in your playing this one, and this lesson is a tough one
Snakechisler: one wishes to play like you do, at least I do anyway
Cezary B: really fine playing, bet you jam with other guitar players in town
Doug E: this one was a tough one, but you swung your way all the way through with confidence
Jordan Sutherland: spot on timing, easy flowing in your playing, putting them notes in your lead playing was like seeing a child swinging on a swing and smiling
Jordan Sutherland: got me playing it twice, glad to see you put your own touch to the tune, that’s what it’s all about
John H: upon the start, I knew it was going to exceptionally good, stayed that way all the through
Paddyboy: first the tone got me thinking that you put some into getting that tone, made your playing exceptionally enjoyable to listen to
Don D.: what I liked about your playing is that I heard some distinction in your playing of players that was in you playing the guitar, but the exciting part is that you did your own thing expressing the way its “got to be played” your way, and that my friend is the spirit of playing the guitar, you nailed it on this one
Richard S: I mentioned “bendville” on another comment here, but you too expressed that “bendville” so well in your playing
David B: nice playing David, seems you put yourself 100% into this one, great playing
Jola: Oh my goodness, I forgot you too. 🙂 Not really my good friend. You may not know this, but the way you hold you hold your pick in the position of the thumb, and the direction of the pointing of your thumb ( is how many pros do it) and I think that is what give them the edge of being a fine rhythm guitar and lead player, nice playing as always

The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete
