Droid came up with the idea of posting links to some of the local talent that you know of in your region of the planet. I think this is a great idea and I hope that you will consider posting a local band
First one that comes to mind for me from the Dayton Ohio area is the Eric Jerardi Band. I saw Eric’s band several years ago at a local festival and he is a smoking hot player. Lots of SRV and Jimi influence in his playing but he is very much his own self in his playing.
I was also impressed with Eric after the show. At the CD table, he signed autographs for everyone but he was especially open and talked to my son quite a bit, and my son was probably 12 at the time. My son still has the poster hanging that Eric gave to him with his autographHe does a lot of gigs here in the Dayton area but I’ve seen him on one of the late shows, I think that it was The Tonite Show with Jay Leno. As you will see from his schedule, he will be traveling quite a bit.

That strat looks small on him. 3 people, sounds so good. Tight band.
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Take a look at the pic that I attached
The red 335 type guitar is a Guild that Eric told me that he believed to be from the early 60s. He switched between that guitar and a Strat the night that I saw him. Pretty sure that he was using a Fender Super Reverb 410 and I don’t know which of those 2 guitars sounded better.
Pretty decent singer too…..
Might have to get some ear plugs and go to one of his local shows. You know, if its too loud, you’re too old…..LOL
Here is a link to a Youtube search of his videos. Check out Had Enough – good stuff. Very Hendrixian – SRVish (like my addition to the dictionary? Go look that up in your Funk & Wagnalls! )
