        Hey All,

Here’s my version of the recent EP517, which is a minor blues.

The first part is Brian’s solo, followed by my own. This was a fun lesson to work on. As usual, some tasty licks to steal in Brian’s lesson. I also tried to incorporate a couple licks from prior lessons into my solo. I always find that to be a worthwhile challenge, figuring out the timing of the licks and any little tweaks that might need to be made to make them fit in a different context.

        Thanks for listening!

        Richard

This has become my favourite lesson of late Richard and you’ve knocked this out of the park! Brilliant! 👏👏🌟👏👏 I’m still working on improving my speed on this but you nailed it for sure and kudos also for the added cycle. Soooo good and very inspirational. Keep on pickin’ and all the best! 🥸🎸🥸

Just fantastic!!!!!🎸👍 Your twangy Tele tone is a dream😊. Perfectly played.
I love your own solo…very tasty arpeggio runs and licks. Great harmonized 6ths and bends.
It has become one of my favourite lesson, too.
Bravo Richard!!!!! That’s right your style.

Superb Richard, tight, on the beat and flawless comes immediately to mind.

Have to agree with Richard G, your performance was really tight – a great funky groove you had going there with the perfect tone dialled in. Thoroughly enjoyed that – well done 👍😎

That sounded awesome. Your improv was a perfect fit. And the Kline sounded killer!

Superb rendition, Richard! Just perfectly played – with an awesome timing – and the tone from your Tele, I agree with Denise, is like a dream! Your own composition in the second cycle is full of tasteful phrases to borrow! Just a pleasure to listen to!

                              Oh wow Richard. Brilliant rendition!

I can really appreciate what you did with this one because I am working on it myself. One thing you do exceptionally well is that bend around the 0:25 second mark – I have been trying to do that and it is just really tough to get while holding the baby finger down. Your playing of those natural minor runs seems to come really easy to you too.

Its always interesting to hear the improvs others come up with because, what I have thought of, is completely different to what you have come up with.

Sadly, I don’t think I am going to come up with anything half as good as what you have managed here. I really enjoyed listening.

Outstanding, Richard! Just awesome!! Both for your playing, and for your second half composition. Your second half sounded as if Brian had written it himself, and Brian’s first half sound as if you had written it yourself. Wow, amazing!!

Yep that was sweet , seamless transition into your own improv, definitely sounds like a part 2 for this lesson .
Honing those licks to fit a different context is a great approach and a fine skill to have .

                                                Hey Richard,

                                                Superb performance.

Your ability to seamlessly incorporate your own licks into these lessons is something I think we all strive for.

Even more impressive is that I don’t think we would be able to distinguish your own from the lesson unless you had mentioned it.

                                                A real treat to watch.
