I really like the percussive fingerstyle lessons. Here’s the latest EP372 and since it’s short I added my favorite in this style EP187. That little brush across the strings adds so much. Thanks Brian for introducing and teaching me this technique.

One of your best I think James. I have struggled with the percussion part for some reason. And I used to be a drummer. Both were excellent. I off to practice…

Beautifully played James with some tricky percussion type fingerstyle. Sounded just great.

Another perfect performance from you, James again! I saw you using the capo, what is the scale length of the guitar you used on this recording?

You brought this technique to perfection in no time, James! I am not much of a finger picker, but this week I did in fact practiced this singer songwriter lesson. It worked better than I had expected and my partner’s feedback was quite encouraging. I will keep practicing this, cause – like you and Brian in the lesson said – the percussive strum adds a lot of substance.

Nicely played, and a really high quality recording. People would pay money to hear you play that.

Absolutely Fantastically brilliant playing. It doesn’t get a whole lot better. I’m slowly trying to learn finger picking. Maybe some day………

Love it , Love it, James! I am also learning the EP372 but it’s gonna take a while due to my multiple projects going on. You have definitely perfected the percussive style. It is also my favorite style of playing, for sure. For me, it started with EP187 so I have a lot of sentiments about that lesson and I gotta tell you, I absolutely love what you did with it. You somehow made it less bluesy but rather more of a singer/songwriter sounding song and it sounded incredible! The intro part you played is also something I have been doing when playing this song and trying to come up with different melodies. And yes, the sound of the recording is top notch, it makes the guitar sound very natural and sweet.
You’re definitely an artist, James, as you inspire so many of us!🎸JoLa

What they all said Mr B, Can I ask why you change the key?, I don’t recall Brian using a capo in any of the lessons but then again I’m not all that up on what’s gone on in all the lessons

James you nailed these lessons big time , played so naturally, that percussive style is on my to do list , it just adds a different dimension that kinda forces you to play right in the pocket . Nice work
