April 10, 2021 at 3:15 am #246625Hi All, After posting Brian’s other David Gilmour Lesson (EP105) last year I had always planned to learn the other, so here it is. I’ve added an additional 16 bar lead of my own and due to me now using Pro Tools First I have adjusted the original tempo from 112 bpm to 100 bpm. My GarageBand DAW on my old iPad did not have that function. Happy with any feedback re: sound (or any other aspect of playing) as this being the first solo video with electric guitar using Pro Tools First. All the best!

April 10, 2021 at 5:36 am #246631Slippery, Flowing, and Musical. Sounds great Garry. There’s not a note out of place. I hope you are getting over your headaches and “growing pains” while learning Pro Tools. Your own improvisation was spot on.
 Cheers, RalphRalph P.

April 10, 2021 at 6:09 am #246632Very nicely done, Garry. The slightly lower tempo serves the piece well.

April 10, 2021 at 7:19 am #246633Thumbs up, Garry! Flawlessly and soulfully played! Your own lead is beatiful! As you already know, I like very much your skills and style in playing guitar! Personal suggestion: in my opinion, you should boost a bit the volume of your guitar recording (your playing is absolutely worth to be heard a bit louder). Guido

April 10, 2021 at 2:31 pm #246674Another great performance from you Gary. Listened to Brian’s version of this and your sound stackup against what he did very nicely. I am always intrested in how different players interpret the same piced of music. Your version is smoother, jazzier, less “stratty” sounding which also sounds very nice indeed. Your own lead runs into this very seamlessly too.

April 12, 2021 at 10:40 am #246769Great job Garry – especially with those tough David G. big bends. He goes crazy bending 2 full tones. Your bends were spot on! Good on ya! Nice gitfiddle, too. I need to spend some money for a new gitfiddle for myself. Nicely played Garry. Bob Bob U. (aka Bobby Ut)

April 15, 2021 at 11:22 am #246880Garry, you mastered these hard Gilmour bends soo well! Wow! Great tone on your guitar! That’s such a fine lesson. I think you have made a big improvement in playing since last year.
And you are being very productive on AM.
Congrats on mastering your new DAW.
