I love this style. Unadorned straight up clean acoustic. Years ago, my brother David Todd took me to see a Norman Blake show somewhere in Pittsburgh, and despite being in middle school, I loved it. Deep down I knew this was the style I wanted to learn but I guess I I would get derailed by the classic rock blues thing first. I had to edit due to a rough patch that I need to clean up but this is what I have working on recently. More coming. I did take a few liberties (the first D lick I replaced with the one using. Additionally, this is not how it ends I did add my own little tag.

This is Americana folk and roots music performed flawlessly, with the energy and emotion that goes hand-in-hand with this style. Your flat-picking is exemplary. It requires speed and clear articulation, and you nailed both. You never cease to amaze and impress me, John. Kudos, sir. And Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, very fast and fluent flat picking! I love that Bluegrass style, it’s highly addictive.
It takes a lot of work to play so fast but once you have it under your fingers it’s real fun.
              All the best.

Well played, John! I love Norman Blake’s stuff. I just wish there was more of it on Youtube, which is pretty much where I listen to all my favorite music.

                  Pretty speedy there John.
Bravo on some great playing 👌.

That looks like some pretty tough finger picking 😳
