I’ve been working on this one a while – I was just about to give up when I finally got something to work while recording. Thanks for watching… Apologize for the video quality, work in progress with new computer. Wouldn’t you know that the cat that’s on my shirt walked into the room!

Clean pickin’ Chuck. Really well played. Video quality seemed good to me, both visual and sound. It is tricky though to sync video and sound sometimes, it can be just a smidge out and can be frustrating. Thanks for sharing. All the best! 😎🎸😎
PS Are you recording through an actual amp or through an interface and DAW on your computer?-

Thanks Garry, for now I’ve been recording the backing track live with the condenser mics on the Zoom R8 – still have to figure out how to get that track downloaded on to the computer, And then the melody I’m playing I record internally on the unit and make a master to transfer to the PC. It’s the primitive method for now.
As you mentioned, the video and sound may be just a tiny bit off but looks pretty close to me. I thought with the Gopro Hero 10 I’m using that the video would have more clarity, but I’ll also try with my Sony mirrorless camera to see what difference that can make. Appreciate your comment!
I always try to get my timing as close to the original as possible. The biggest challenge will be doing the fast version if I can build up to it. More practice which I’m enjoying…

Well played, Chuck. Love that Gretsch tone and the song sounded just fine at that tempo.

Thank you John, I’m grateful that Brian gives us the option on these faster lessons to do the slow version. It’s good for practice and learning, and also posting. The fast version is mind blowing with what he’s doing, but beyond what I can do now. Thanks for the listen and reply!

Thank you Helen, I sure will – I enjoy these lessons and Brian’s teaching method is the best I’ve seen. Hope to get the fast version eventually if it’s possible. Thanks for your reply!

Very well done Chuck! A great lesson that sounds very well both at regular speed and in the slow tempo version, especially when very well and flawlessly played as you did! Now that you’ve it under your fingers you could , if you wish, gradually speed up it! The video looks very fine to me, especially because we can see very clearly what you’re playing on the fretboard, which is the most important thing.

Thanks Guido, these lessons seem complicated when you first listen to what Brian is doing, but the way he breaks each lick down is priceless. Thanks so much for your listen, I’ll work on gradually building it up as you mentioned – maybe it will work eventually, need lots of practice time!

That sounded excellent to me Chuck. And the video was good too!

Liked your slow version of this Chuck. You played that clean even with the cat showing up trying to distract you. 😊
The lake in your fishing videos looked familiar so I checked and it’s about 80 miles from Pines lake where I grew up in Jersey.

Thanks Mike, NJ is under rated for fishing – you just have to know where to go. I was out most of the day today but with this rain and heat it was nothing but sunfish and slow on the bass. Thanks for the reply.

Very nice work Chuck. After hearing your beautiful rendition of this, I had to give the original from Brian a listen. I have to say i like it equally played slow or fast. Lately, I have been casting around for something new to play and this could be it. 😄.
Gotta say, I like that guitar of yours.

Thanks Geoff, the guitar has been a good surprise for me, sure it would be nice to have others, but it works good. This is a good lesson to practice at slow tempo. Thanks for the reply!
