Greetings to all. I love Chet’s guitar style and Brian did a great job putting this lesson together. The only problem was it was too short. The chord progression brought to mind a song by Les Paul and Mary Ford from the early fifties. So, I added a verse of “Bye Bye Blues” played ‘Chet style’.

Very well done, guitar part right on, but man I wish I could sing like you.
So smooth and perfect for that tune.
ThanksKen F

This lesson was right up your alley James. You play that Chet Atkins style so good and it was masterful adding in a part of Bye Bye blues.

I’m a big fan of the ‘Boom Chick’ James and you play this technique with accuracy and feel! It’s always a treat to hear your golden vocals and I love the way you incorporate songs into your performances. Another gem for sure. All the best! 😎🎸😎

Well, we all know you’re a brilliant finger picker and singer, but this one is one of your best so far, James! Great attack on the strings with your thumb pick and fingers, timing like a metronome and all phrases flawlessly played: last but not least, great vocals! Very enjoyable to listen to!

Hi James , nice work with this lesson you have that chet style down a treat and it wouldn’t be complete with some cleverly worked in vocals .

Killer, James! You could do an entire album in this style. That Travis picking is just so solid.

Another great performance James, your fingerstyle is rock-solid but to sing Bye Bye Blues over the top, you raised it to another level.
I have a 78 rpm vinyl of Les Paul & Mary Ford performing this song, it’s nearly as good as yours.Richard

Man I don’t how you can sing and do that finger picking at the same time.
Think you have two brains, lol.
Well done sir.AndréM

Another flawless performance James.
Of course Brian’s lessons have no vocals so I was very glad that you added your own to this.
Just wouldn’t be the same without it!

Very good James. Your finger picking is great and, oh wow, not to mention your voice 😳😄.
This is one of Brian’s harder ones I have been considering because I could apply my classical finger style to this one. So much to do, so little time 😉

This is really an awesome and challenging lesson of Brian. I have also worked on it, because I like this style of playing. But what you have made out of this lesson, James is so awesome and unique. Your idea to blend the lesson with this song fits so perfectly. And your performance is as usual: top notch! 👏👏👏
