Beautiful!!! Did you add some harmonics in there? It sounded really cool!

Thank you Jennifer! I guess I did play parts of triads which gives off that harmonized effect.

Sweet take Nick. Love how you built up over a couple cycles of the track, with lots of space and breathing room at first building into some nice runs. Awesome Tele tone too…what did you record into?

Thanks Bill! I’m running some new pedals I got from Santa (over drive + delay) and into an amp pedal.

Been looking forward to your take, Nick. Loved that soft tone, your soft touch and those arpeggios were gorgeous. I’ll be back for another look or two.

Thanks John! Likewise! I just gave your take a close listen which I can always learn from.
Question, and please be honest, you have great tone so I respect your opinion here… could my playing be too soft? I personally think I need a little bit more grit and edge to my sound when I listen back to my recordings.

Very tasteful use of notes Nick. I loved the way you worked up to that riff around :55. Very cool.

Holy cow, that was so perfect. Had a bit of the classic Allman Brothers sound. Your timing and use of space was so good.

Oh man, I just loved what happened here, Nick; the anticipation, the tasteful licks, the air between phrases, and the cascade of notes just to end on a perfect one, the tone – all of it was as sweet as candy and smooth as silk – and sounded beautiful. And I did not expect any less from you, you got us spoiled already 😉
P.S. Love seeing the plush pig on the shelf, I have a similar one from IKEA 🐷😁

Smooth as silk, your style Nick and you own it. Navigating the fretboard with your selection of notes is not only a skill but you have a good ear. You have a perfect GPS system. Top notch.

I don’t know if it can get any better than this, Nick. Something moves me when I hear your solo. I almost wrote “Soulo”.
It’s so beautiful and melodic. I’ve listened to it three times already and I still haven’t had enough.
Your little baby will be truly blessed to have so many musical vibes in his nursery. Congratulations, Nick!Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom

Awesome take on the backing track Nick ,
I was a hearing a John Mayer sound in your improv, love the slight break up in tone as well .

Very well played Nick. You captured the “Churchy Gospel/Soul” feel of the song very well. You play like a Southern Man (compliment intended). Especially liked your intro lick…very well placed. Brian always stresses to “Play like a singer”, and you did that very well.

0:52-1:00. Wowza – blown away. I mean it was all fantastic, however, that lick/run/idea should be a session’s player dream! Well done

Nice one, Nick. I was glad to hear you drop in those fast runs, because the jamtrack was crying out for those.

That was a brilliant take Nick. Your ear and interpretation is SO melodic. I saw Martin mentioned John Mayer and I thought exactly the same. I love that softer tone you have. It’s so well suited to your playing style. There’s plenty of sparkle in it and just that hint of drive to let all the notes sing out.

Great sound, playing and ideas Nick, congrats on this submission!
If I wasn't making mistakes I wouldn't be the kind of player I want to be. Perfection is dangerous.

Man that was really great take on this one! Your playing is so smooth and such melodic phrasing. My only complaint is that it was too short! I wasn’t finishing listening and wanted more. 😊
