I’m hoping to sneak in under the radar even though its technically too late!
Bit of a rush job this month but here’s my attempt at EP266.
Slowed the backing track down a touch as I found the descending lick at the end too quick for my fingers! -

Good work on this. Enjoyable listen.

Oh yes Andy, very dynamic with a good sound and always played in timing. A good 2020!
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

A very floating lead over a ( for my ears )
60´s backing track.
It’s fun to listen to.Blue

You played this really well Andy. This slowed down version sounds pretty fast to me, doesn’t need to be any faster.

Nice playing Andy. EP266 was by far the most popular lesson this month. You’ll be jammin’ man!

Good one, Andy. And I’m glad to see I was not the last person to submit. I had a good excuse though: I had no internet where I was.

That was great Andy! Did you use delay or an octave setting on the recording?

Thanks Steve. Yes, I’ve gone from first to last in the space of a month! Mind you, I did enjoy the ‘being off the grid experience’ last month 🙂

Hi Mike,
Many thanks!
No octave setting but I did double track the recording. The first on the neck pickup and the second on the bridge. There was a bit of slapback delay on both tracks courtesy of a strymon timeline (birthday present from my wife :-))

Hi Andy,
Great lesson and you played it well. I thought you were using an effect but now I see it was double tracked. The timing seemed slightly offset in places, almost giving it a flanging effect. Cool idea, I’ll keep that one in mind.
