This is a great lesson but I found I was tearing my hair out trying to make sense of it. Anybody else struggling with it?
It seems to me that Brian teaches it differently in Part 1 than it’s demonstrated in the slow walk through, tab and video tab. The syncopation in Part 1 is subtly different with an Up, Down, Up strum for the main rhythm while the slow walk through shows a Down, Up, Up strumming. I prefer the way Brian teaches it in Part 1 where the first rhythm strum comes in an an upbeat, and the second chord is a downward strum and held for a full beat.
I hope I still have enough hair to cover the bald spots. On the bright side, now you have options!

Hey John, someone else pointed out that the timing is different in the Part 1 video than the slow walkthrough. Sorry about that. It’s hard when creating these videos because I often do them over several days. On one hand I could re-record the slow-walkthrough and rebuild the tab to match the Part 1 video. I don’t mind doing it, although that’s a several hour project. On the other hand, you could look at is as you have options (as you pointed out). Sorry for the confusion on this.
