February 3rd, 1959, the day the music died.
Here’s a little remembrance, one of his tunes recorded in 1957. I found a really good backing track that mimics the Crickets’ vocals pretty much like the originals. Great to play along to.
If you think the bass drum sounds like somebody pounding on an empty cardboard box, that’s because it is. Just like the original.
How many covers of this have you heard . . . ?
