Hi Patrick, if you watch the beginning of EP020 Brian talks about and provides the model number for the Alvarez that he uses in that lesson.

The last time Brian played an Alvarez guitar was in EP261. That model was a Masterworks prototype MPA70 which he introduces and talks about in EP045.

Ever since I started with AM 6 years ago I was fascinated with not just the lessons but also Brian’s guitars. And yes, I made some notes but in this case I did remember that Brian last used the MPA70 on EP261, one of my top favorite lessons and a great take on St James Infirmary 🙂🎸JoLa

I’ve been playing electric for ages and decided to get into acoustic. I was driven mad for months by the choice of types, Dreadnought, Jumbo etc, let alone the makes but saw Brian bigging up an Alvarez, a make that had already caught my eye, so bought an Alvarez Delta 00 and fell in love with that classic 40s blues and jazz sound and so loud for a smaller bodied guitar. I’m not a strummer and the Delta is perfect for finger picking

I have a cheap Alverez folk I bought from a friend and kinda fell in love with the Alverez. I bought an Alverez Dreadnought acoustic electric Mahogany and that is beautiful and plays really nice. I’m getting another acoustic and deciding what model. Since I joined I have improved immensely
and have the excuse to get it.(?) This should keep me happy for a while. Gotta stop looking at Brian’s guitars. I’m far from an expert but they sure are nice. Thanks for the info Ben.
