I recently purchased a Boss Me 90 and a Fender Mustanf GT100 amp. I’m old school, god help me… this stuff is like calculus to me. Effects loop, bluetooth,,,tone studio…. whats a good video for the Boss ME 90, how to set it up, I have the bluetooth adapter, I connected it to my phone, but it says “You are using an old version of ME-90, update to he latest version, I hit OK it says “offline mode” not connected to a moble device, but I go into BT on my phone it shows its paired.
Also I hooked up the ME90 straight into the Fender amp, some effects got real loud and some had some serious background noise involved, is that because I wasn’t using the effects loop?

I also ordered a Katana go2 so maybe it will be more old school fool friendly. I’m getting a new PC with bluetooth as well. I got a Klipsch pro media speaker system for it, can I play my guitar through my PC speakers?

Its updated and working, not an easy straight forward process, shame on you Boss! Its tells you in tone studio app you have to update it, and gives you a box to click, it does not work. it says you are offline, you have put the ME90 in update mode by pressing two buttons and powering it on, have the system update downloaded and ready on the PC, then connect the ME90 via USB, find the ME90 drive, open it , move the two files from the system update to the ME90 drive, then once the drivers are in the system will update and let you know when its done, if you interrupt that process it could brick your ME90. How awesome is that!!! Its all explained on their page. Not very use friendly, especially for us old guys who grew up with a dial phone.

Hey Vernon,
I’m “old school” also and went down that rabbit hole of modelers and digital effects from Boss and UA. After unpleasant tries with updating software and drivers etc. I unloaded that gear and went back to a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp with a small pedalboard. No more problems! The modelers and boards seem great for many musicians but not for an old dial phone guy like me. 🤷♂️
BTW, I kept my Katana 100 mostly for the acoustic channel but also to explore effects easily when the urge hits.Mike
