It looks like EP604 was a popular one, and for good reason! Brian has authored yet another killer blues jam.

Let me add my submission the the pile. 🙂

Those pickups have the warmest tone I’ve ever played. Super happy with that guitar.

Playing with a backing track helps build energy; much better than just a click!

I found a Bletchley Belchfire amp, and won’t record with anything else. Edge of breakup is a great place to play. 😎

Great playing, Jon, and an absolute beauty of a guitar! Perfect execution yet played with soul. That was fun watching & listening to.

I got my hands on that Godin a little over a year ago, and it quickly became my ‘go-to’ guitar.

I’m looking forward to trying out more Godin guitars. If they’re anything like this one, I might be substantially increasing my collection.

                                      Hey Jon,
First, nice job playing that so well. The next thing is how versatile the Kingpin shows with this post. My cousin plays rhythm guitar in a band and he has several instruments to choose from, but the others always want him to play his Godin. On a visit to his house I couldn’t put it down!

It’s the most versatile guitar I own. Just recorded these heavy blues last week, and tomorrow I take it on stage at my church for some high-energy worship music. Very pleased with this instrument.

I have a question for you since you replied before which I appreciate. Can you give me the lowdown on how to start my own thread? I don’t see anything to click on with any of the forums. Also don’t know if it’s possible but can you download the backing tracks? Many thanks

Once you’re in the forum category you want (in this case, the ‘Showcase Your Playing’ category), scroll all the way to the bottom of the various threads and you’ll find a section titled ‘Create a New Topic’ which allows you to create and title a post of your own.

In each of Brian’s lessons with backing tracks, look on the right side of the screen. You’ll see black boxes with sample audio and backing tracks. In each of those black boxes, there is an orange ‘Download MP3’ link.

By the way, I’m an ‘EX gigging musician’ ;). I used to lead a blues band with vocals and rhythm guitar a while back (The Jonathan Roung Band, simply enough – there are still a few videos floating around on youtube), but my nightclub days are mostly behind me now. Three kids and a golf addiction consumes too much of my time these days, although I still play with the worship team at my local church every few weeks.
