Hello AM family
Challenge: play something with only 2 major chords.
I call this one: ”Are you experienced”, LOL
I am playing the ”G” & ” “C” major chords.
To me it sounds a bit retro.
Also I asked a couple AM friends if they would have heard the repeating riff I play in 3 places during the song.
It sounded familiar to me, it sounded like something from the 70’s 80’s.
But I found out it was in a composition I had done earlier when I started AM.There is a little add-on at the end of the track. I had time on my hand this time.
Rhythm: Taylor GS mini
Bass: Godin
Wah: LP with tons of reverb & delay with a pinch of OD.
Lead: LP with OD in the Spark preset, Blues driver, Boss Super OD. reverb & delay.
B3 from Eastwest
Drums: Gretch kit from EastwestEnjoy

André, that’s some beautiful phrasing and feeling you put into this tune. Also, I love the theme you go back to every now then. Really nice playing and performance!

Stellar playing, as always, Andre. Great jam band groove. The tempo on this one is right at that pace where keeping phrasing in time gets tricky… harder to play a slower tempo than a faster one. But, you nailed it throughout the whole song! Fun to hear the individual instruments at the end, too.

That was a really exciting piece. It wasn’t until you broke down the individual instruments at the end that I heard the panning on the guitar and I love your drum groove, very nice indeed!

That was awesome Andrè! Everything blended perfectly together and each instrument stood out in the mix.

Sustain for days! You coulda hit one note and it woulda held the whole time, lol. Love that tone.
Unique LP with the middle humbler with no cover.
I like your bass track too, really holds it down against the soaring lead. Great work Andre! -

Beautiful melodic lead, Andre. I noticed the sustain, also. Great mix in your instruments, love that B3 organ, and who doesn’t love some electric guitar effects😜.

Awesome playing Andrè, your composition, lead and backing was carefully crafted together. Good to see the new Taylor acoustic played a part in this enjoyable performance.

Quite a production with just two chords, Andre. Nice to see and hear the individual tracks with the different instruments. You are the music man. 🎶 🎸 🎶

Awesome composition & arrangement, Andre. Do I understand correctly that you had 3 OD pedals in use at once? You had some seriously good sustain going on, and I read that heaps of overdrive is part of the trick.

Hi Steve, thx for your comment.
Yes I had my Boss Blues driver and my Boss Super OD and an OD driver from the Spark Clean clone OD.
Sure helped with the sustain.AndréM

Pretty amazing, André, you do those multi-instrumental productions so well! Seeing a GS mini in the mix was a bit of nice surprise to me considering you also used 3 types of overdrive 🙂 I liked the slower tempo, too, it had a nice flow to it. Nice rig breakdown at the end, I enjoyed that!
