I am glad you and your mom are safe, Lilia. Welcome back!
Your first solo using major and minor pentatonic scales: well done! You should be proud of yourself! Played with feeling and in line with the backing track. Variety and speed will come with practice and time (at least that is what I am hoping myself 😉). Stay tuned, Lilia. Peace.Bluesige Grüße

Great job Lilia! You are a student of music since – what – 8 years old! And now you are applying that great background to guitar. Well done and cannot wait to see your next project! P.S. Can I have my guitar back??? LOL

Nice playing ! I like how u let the piece ” breathe”. It is so hard for me to do that as I want to play too many notes!

Ciao Lilia
I am happy that everything has worked out well for you and mum; a wish to the Ukrainian people for the war to end soon.
As for the guitar I have noticed that the progress is impressive, I think Bob will start to worry in a while.Livio

It’s good to see in these fretful times that you can turn to music. Your timing is spot on and your finger placement is good. It’s about time some nice guy bought you a great guitar!

Well played, Lilia. Obviously you have a good grip on the major and minor pent scales. I wish I could find a Ukraine T-shirt here in New Zealand. I would wear it all the time. In September I’m going to visit Florida, so maybe I can find one there. Most people I know consider the Ukrainians to be the heroes of the earth.

Hey, that guitar looks familiar. You’re getting a really good grip on the pentatonics, Lilia. So difficult to watch what is happening but I’m so inspired by the fortitude of the Ukranian people.

Good to see you save, Lilia. And good to see you playing guitar again and playing around with pentatonic tones. You may stand on the beginning of your guitar journey, but your attitude is the one of a pro.
I‘m praying for peace in Ukraine.Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup is expected to take place in November 2025There will be a detailed announcement here in the forum in good time.
I look forward to meet you.

Nice submission Lilia. You are right not to rush – let the notes breathe. We all hope that peace returns soon and that Ukraine returns to its normal state quickly without further loss.

Hi Lilia, that was beautiful. The challenge with slow blues is not to overplay and let the notes breath and give them space. You did that very well. Congrats!
And along with all of the others best wishes for peace in Ukraine and any loved ones you have over there,

Praying for your home country. Love your sweatshirt. Noticed you like Barry White. That is some great blues he sings. Great playing, timing, and phrasing. Can’t wait to hear more.

Lilia! I’m so glad to see you could record some playing for us this month after all the stress and travels! And I can’t believe this is only your 2nd submission and just a few months of playing guitar, you definitely have a good musical ear and it shows! You even look very relaxed playing, love the breathing spaces in between, which allowed you to listen to the track as well. Well done!
P.S. I’m so glad you and your Mom had a good experience in Poland. I’ll be traveling there too, in 2 weeks, to visit my family. Watching what happens in Ukraine slices my heart into tiny pieces each time and every day I hope for an end to this atrocity.
P.S. Can I have my guitar back???

You did well, Lilia.
You obviously have the essential elements well under control.Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Your making great progress Lilia, lots of nice licks in there mixing the two pentatonics. I particularly liked that one just before the minute mark. Keep up the good work.
So good to hear you and your Mum are safely back home. Like others I hope this pointless war stops soon. my heart aches for the unnecessary misery it’s caused, but Ukrainians have been magnificent.
