There is popular art form here in New Zealand called “Floral Art”. It’s basically sculptures made from any kind of plant material, and can include things like wood, steel, rocks, etc. My wife has been in one of the local clubs for years, and lately I have been doing some videos for some of their exhibitions. Right away I thought it would be good to make my own sound track, so for this latest one, I used two of my Monthly Challenge postings from 2017. If you don’t like gardens, flowers, and art, then read no further. But if you’re into gardening, or enjoy wandering around in botanical gardens, or want a glimpse of one of Auckland’s many beautiful parks, then you might enjoy this.

Enjoyed. It’s now cherry blossom time now for the next 2 weeks.
Always nice to see such beauty here on this Heaven we call Earth. The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Here another garden- and animal paradise around my house with my selfmade (Beatles) music “A day in the life unplugged” and “Across the universe”.
Sorry for the unstable camera work.

Nicely done Steve, that was very enjoyable indeed. It was fun trying to guess the Country before the caption came up albeit most were obvious but nevertheless very artistic. I guess if the Flora was natural there would only be a finite life to the exhibits. I liked your backing tracks, particularly the fingerstyle piece.

A treat for the eyes and ears. Was the acoustic piece an original composition, Steve?

It was original improv, based on one of Brian’s lessons. But now I can’t remember how to play it anymore….

Very impressive work; yes really artistically produced. I wonder how many hours a year come together to create such a splendor and of course to maintain. Great idea from you Steve. How big do I have to imagine the garden area?
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Eden Garden is quite big – about 14 hectares (I think that’s about 35 acres). It was once a quarry on the side of a little volcano where rock was blasted and dug out. You can easily spend a morning wandering around through it, then have lunch in the cafe. Come on over and check it out.

That’s a huge area. But well used. My wife and I love such facilities. We have the island of Mainau here on Lake Constance (45 ha). Here are atypical plants for Germany. Whatever the weather, the climate is great for the plants. There are even palm trees here, so tropical plants. Okay on the island is not all covered with the beautiful plants; rather a small part. Still very nice for us.
