The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Brian, the melody to this lesson, EP614 is such a sweet sound. It amazes me that you compose these yourself.. You make it all look so effortless and this brings me to my question. You are always so thorough in your instruction but there is a component that I don’t believe you’ve ever spoken about – the ECONOMY OF FINGERING. Your movements are so clean that I sometimes have to look at the tablature to tell which strings your fingers are playing which strings. You always have your fingers in just the right place.

                      I don’t!

How can I develop that very important skill? Could you say something about that in one of your lessons
(or even more often) because it seems to make such a difference in how the timing of the song comes off.

This is a great resource. Has anyone ever made a list of all the lessons with Jam tracks (with the key) for when you want a quick practice session with more than a click track? Cheers, D

Ah yes, that is good idea Dean, have thought about that too when wanting a backing track. It maybe better coming from within the links Brian has for the categories and adding the Backing Tracks as a topic then; Key: Genre etc. Big job though as Brian would not have the time, but then it would be a great resource to have. Thanks for the comment, it may happen one day..

Thanks Laurel, yes having a backing track option in the Categories section would be perfect! An opportunity for a future improvement to an already fantastic site 🙂
