Robert O’Brien is a master builder located in Colorado and on occasions, he’ll film a restoration of an old gem tha has came into his shop.
In this video he has a 1941 Martin OOO -18 from Hawaii that was purchased by the owner’s family just before Pearl Harbor. The guitar survived all of the craziness of that era but was in serious need of some work due to abuse and the effects of the brutal humidity of Hawaii. 2nd link is to the video of the restoration
If you are interested in building acoustics, Robert has video courses that will take you from start to finish. He also schedules times for people to work with him in building their dream guitar – whether steel string or classical.
Thislink is to all of his videos in which he shares building and repair tips
