Hi
Brian although I guess this might be a shout out to anyone here too. I’ve recent;y bought a copy of Guitar Pro 7 and I’m finding it a great tool for practising etc.I know Brian supplies an on screen tab viewer which is great. I’m finally able to use it since updating my PC.
My question is; would you consider providing a Guitar Pro version of the tab, or does anyone know how I might input the pdf tab into Guitar Pro for playing with.

John,
I have been using Guitar Pro for a long while. These days I mostly use it for notating music that I am transcribing. I think the only way to get the tab into GP is to manually input it, unless Brian has it in some other software that he can use to export it. I have actually at times input a lot of music into the program, an it actually is pretty quick once you get used to the shortcuts etc. But I think ultimately the Soundslice software is doing the same job.

After a bit of googling, it would seem that the solution is to convert the PDF to MIDI and then open the MIDI with Guitar Pro.
I cant confirm that this works as I don’t have Guitar Pro, but here is a link ..Convert PDF to MIDI.. to give you a starting point in which to try it out..#
Good luck man...Billy..

Hi Bob,
Thanks for your reply, I’m finding inputting music from guitar books tabs and my own transcribing very rewarding and a useful exercise in its self in terms of learning to read music etc. I love the sound slice software. I wasn’t able to access it for a while as I had a really old MacBook which wouldn’t update, so I was unable to get a newer browser. Since I updated my PC just before Christmas,I’m slowly getting into the habit of using it.
Regards
John
