His 10 fingers do all the dancing on the fretboard and 6 strings on the guitar. Notice his guitar on this video. Well, also his great playing.

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Pete,
He’s one of the greatest guitarists to come out of the UK and has to be up there as one of the greatest guitarists in the world. He’s on the short list for sure.
He covers blues and rock so really versatile.
I posted the video below on brush with the blues a few days ago. One of my favorites of his.Tim

Pete,
Thanks for posting that one. Had not seen it before. I was never a big fan of Jeff Beck until I happened to catch him live about ten years ago. It totally changed my perspective on the electric guitar.

Most of my life I played electric guitar with my thumb only, without a pick, but lately I’ve been trying to use a pick (not sure why). And now I see the great Jeff Beck playing without a pick, mostly with his thumb only. Maybe I’ll lose the pick again. Thanks for posting these.

Great bit of listening which has stopped me from practising yet again hahahaha.. Another guitar hero who makes his playing seem so effortless, I wonder how much practise/rehearsal time get put in at that level of playing.

Jeff Beck kind of laid back awhile ago and worked on his car collection. I guess one day he said, “it’s time to start playing again” and he’s been busy since. If he ever plays in Fukuoka, Japan, I’m going and that’s a promise I made myself.

I once was told “if it comes easy for you, you got talent”, I think Jeff’s got the talent and his soul connected with it early on in his life. I bet he didn’t even know what a TV was back then. Unless he was watching American Bandstand.
