Really enjoyed this lesson. This is my first post here, so it’s far from perfect. I kept it simple and straightforward, stuck to the lesson (no improv). Wanted to get a feel for recording and shooting video at the same time. It all worked out pretty good, and I was able to get my first post up.

Welcome to AM. That was dynamite. It’s a great lesson and you played it beautifully. Great sound, too. What’s your recording setup?

Thank you John and Gary. I shot the video sitting in front of my computer through my imac using the photobooth app. I simultaneously plugged my guitar into the imac and recorded the tack straight to garage band (used a SuperTweed Amp tweaked the settings a little) and let her rip. Did a quick edit on FinalCut and posted (I’m a mac guy, lol). Took about an hour, including set up, I rushed it in some spots, I know, but it was kind of an experiment-super fun. I was surprised myself by the sounds I got out of GarageBand Amp simulators-that was my first time recording guitar to GarageBand-it was pretty easy.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the very kind words. I’m humbled. I’ve heard a lot of great players here on all levels. Look forward to sharing music with all of you. Really grateful I found this site/community. Brian’s lessons are awesome, there’s a ton of musical range and diversity…No matter what he’s teaching, he seems to tie it all back to the BLUES, which is so cool.

Sounded great. Such a nice balance between bass and treble, with the crunch at a perfect point. Good stuff. Welcome.

Thanks Larry, I have played Guitar on/off most of my life, (I’m 51) after ironically fighting against it for most of my life, (rock bands). I made a decision about four or five years ago, to just not beg, borrow, and steal from the blues, like I had been doing most of my life, but actually commit to it, get some discipline, and finally learn it. Thank God for the internet, cause that’s all possible now, so here I am.
