        Hi,
I am member of Activemelody community for a couple of months now and really enjoying as a beginner to blues/country guitar!
I was considering a multieffects pedal boss GT1 to improve sounding options. Also I play quite often with earphones at home and see a good way to skip bulky equipment when practicing.
Any views? Specially interested on blues and country sound potentials.
        Thanks!

Hi Jaime and welcome to AM. It might not be quite the answer to your question but have you had a look at the modelling amp by Yamaha called a THR10c. Its a great bit of kit and maybe it would cover the ground for you in a differing way. Lots of users here and there is loads of info on the youTube. I am probably their biggest advocate on AM so sorry if its not answering your question directly but hope it helps.
          Happy Christmas

A friend of mine bought one on sale about 6 months ago, and he has been enjoying using it. It does what it says it will do, and if your aim is to have less individual pedals, it’s good for that. Two years ago I started off with no pedals, then I bought one, and another, etc. Now I have about 8 pedals, and I often arrange them in different order, or swap them around to get different effects. I also have an A-B switch so I can set up two rows of pedals – as many as I like – and switch from one row to the other with my foot. So either way you do it, it will work just fine. If you do get the Boss GT-1, it will definitely not be the last pedal you ever buy. The looper built in to it is not that great, so you might end up getting a more advanced looper.
