Anyone have any experience with this amp. It’s a modeling amp in the same market niche as the Fender Mustang and Yamaha TVR. From what I can tell, its very Marshall centered, but has an American (Fender) and a Brit (Vox?) model. It purports to model in three stages – pre-amp, power amp and cabinet. From what I can tell from YouTube, the effects sound pretty good. And the price is really good – the 50watt model is for $250, and it may come down from that with what’s going on with the pound post-Brexit.

Hi Duffy,
I have the CODE 25….Got it two weeks ago for $199 from ZZounds.com I’ve done a little review of it on their web site.
In my opinion, a terrific sounding amp that is well worth the modest investment. Endless tone possibilities. Has a nice set of Fender-like tones as well as plenty of British tones….nice FX as well.
My only beef was that the blue tooth connectivity is sketchy….Couldn’t get my iphone to work with it but my Ipads do OK.
The downloadable app allows you to conduct all controls except master volume. All of the controls are available on the amp itself but the app allows for easier editing…Very well made amp. Manufactured in Viet Nam which may account for the oh so reasonable price. Two thumbs up!! on the Code 25….I’m guessing the 50 sounds even better…..but gotta say the 25 is plenty loud for this stay at home guitarist….

I have this discontinued fender G-dec I bought used several years ago.. I can’t program it codes,, think the fender site doesn’t provide codes for this obsolete model.. and i tried to reset it to factory settings but can’t confirm if I did.. amp has to many channels and setting each one would take way too much time even if i could import or reprogram it from the internet.. which btw, totally unfamiliar.. think i tried searching online for tutorials but when i went to the fender site , they no longer offer support for this discontinued model. youtube didn’t have any good tutorials for it either. I’m going to browse the latest wireless portable practice amps

Also have a CODE 25 and have had similar Bluetooth issues from my iPhone, although since I’ve settled into some favorite sounds I’ve pretty much stopped using the app.
I think it sounds great especially for the money, my only complaint was with the noise gate, I found it to be way too distracting out of the box as it cuts the sound to silence at every opportunity. I end up tweaking it back so there is always some slight hiss just so I know its alive. -

Agreed on that slight hiss……symptomatic of digital-only amps.
BTW….I recently upgraded to an Iphone 7 Plus…..works perfectly with the app now.Marty

Yeah, when I was testing this amp, I was really put off by the noise gate suddenly cutting off the decay of a note that was sustaining. It happened way too much, and I have no idea why Marshall set the presets that way.
In the end, I got the Yamaha THR10c because of its size (or lack of it). The Yamaha sounds good, but I think the Code is more versatile, and I am sort of wishing now that I had more overdriven options.

I have the Code 50 and it seems I plug into that almost every day…love it. The fact that I can Bluetooth into it was what sold me on it.
The Vox vt40x is also a sweet little amp in the same price range.
