Really am not sure if that is even the title of the song…lol….but anyway, it’s all on my Washburn Acoustic Electric recorded with Audacity. I need to work on the volume settings in Audacity. It seems the Washburn is way louder than any of my electrics and kind of a bit overdriven with the audio. I just turn the volume down…lol…Turns out it was my first thought as Way Down below the ocean, and not where I wanna be…lol…I fixed the title here…

Yep, it’s all me. I suppose you could do it solely with Audacity, although I ran a loop with my pedal of the rhythm, then practiced the lead notes over and over. Then I recorded the loop in Audacity, then added a track, pressed record and the loop that recorded plays as I played the lead. With the added track, if the lead don’t turn out I can cut that track and start over.
Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it.

so im guessing you record thur your pedal to your computer with a usb cord and not a mic
I dont have anything like your pedal or a mic, besides whats on the computer, but im guessing that would sound bad

I never did get the USB patch to work, I just go straight into the mic jack on the PC, you can get a 1/4″-3.5mm adapter. It took me a while to figure out how to setup the PC to record direct from the sound card. I think it’s called”stereo mix” in the control panel, sounds. If it’s not there, right click in a blank spot in that box and click on the tab to activate what’s not seen.

Very good indeed! Nicely done! I love that ! I haven’t messed with Audacity for years, but I think , once you got your tracks down ,youcan then make volume adjustments on each track during your mixdown. Maybe, I forget. But still ,great job. Thanks for sharing.
                    Peace ,Josh

Hey thanks for your input Josh! I really appreciate the comments from you guys. Mix down…..lol….. I’m taking such baby steps and am so uninformed that I’m really not sure what that is. The volume can be adjusted in/out, I just think I had the initial input too high from the pedal playing the acoustic. One of the volume controls only controls what your hearing I think and it doesn’t adjust anything for the final output…. I think…. I’m sure having fun though, and I think the more I use it the more I’ll understand. I’m trying working with wild horses now. I think that will really be fun as long as I can lay down the noodling in the right way, not really perfect, but sounding good. That’s my project for tomorrow. The only thing is, I play then have to ice my shoulder because it gets to hurting pretty good. I go to therapy again in the morning and that really helps loosen it up to where I can stand playing longer.
                      Thanks again!
I would really like to see some of the rest of you folks putting up some audio links.

The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete
