        Hi All.

        Hope everyone is doing well.

I didn’t do much preparation for this one. I simply found one of Brian’s backing tracks, pressed record, and went with it. I wanted to create a sad, yearning feeling, although it took me a few bars to find the emotion I was looking for.

Once I started to relax, I think the best part of the recording emerged. I forgot about the red light and just tried to feel my way through the performance.

There are certainly things I would change if I had another take, but I wanted to keep it as raw and unprepared as possible.

        Thanks for watching

        Dermot

Which lesson did you get the backing track from Dermot? It sounds like Dm key. I liked how you settled in later on in the video and got that nice bend from the 4th up to the 5th (A note) @3:23 mark (pattern #2).

Root note patterns >>> CAGED shapes >>> TRIAD'S. Just put in the work and watch your guitar skills soar.

Hi Dermot, congratulations on just going for it! That takes courage, and you did a fine job. Those long notes really bring out the feeling, the sadness. You are improving each month, Sir! Keep going!

              Very atmospheric.
