Hello AM friends,
Challenge: ”Emotions”
My challenge is call “Joy & Sadness”
Joy because I have the chance to play my dream guitar.
Sadness because I will have to return it soon to her owner.
For the time being I am holding on tight to it. Squeezing it as much as I can.
Played on Gibson ES-335 with a bit of reverb, delay and a pinch of OD from a Spark preset.
BT is provided by Quist. There is a few bumps on the road near the end.
I had to re-play 2 phrases I didn’t like, so there is a change in the video when I added the new videos.Enjoy, hope you like it.

Beautiful solo, Andre! I like that repeating theme with the harmonized 6th. Great solo!!!
That is really an absolutely great sounding and looking guitar! Love the sustain.More Blues!

As smooth as butter! Nicely played as always.
I’m sad you have to give the Gibson back too, it sounds great. You thinking of getting anything to fill the void once it’s gone?

If I could I would buy a 335 but the budget doesn’t permit it.

Fantastic as always. You have a knack for filling large swaths of time and keeping things fresh. Sorry about the guitar 😢

A very melodious performance, André. I’d love to have the chance to play a guitar like that someday. A dream
Thank you very much, Werner

Great piece. Loved how you followed the chord movement at 0:49!

Great melodic solo Andre, that 5 minutes seemed to go by in a flash. I could feel your regret at the prospect of handing the 335 back.

Sweet sounding solo , I like your subtle use of space in between phrases.
The Gibson does sound nice , but when one door closes maybe another one will open, have you thought about a 335 alternative ,Eastman make some fine guitars in that style and are a lot more affordable…….just a thought.Martin

First of all keep the darn guitar or go out and buy one…. I won’t tell Fender you are cheatin’ on ’em.
Secondly, you always find a way to reach out and tug on my ’emotional’ heart strings. The ‘sad’ part actually made me happy. Well done Andre. Always a pleasure. Your chops are fluent and smooth and this piece is making my coffee taste better. I appreciate you man! Keep ’em coming!John

Great expressive tone and it is becoming more clear when I hear your playing that it is Andre playing. Great melodic phrasing around that descending Andalusian cadence.
Root note patterns >>> CAGED shapes >>> TRIAD'S. Just put in the work and watch your guitar skills soar.

Beautiful, Andre, you’ve been busy of late. 335 looks good on you, I think you should get one.
Weird that my Watchtower track, the Comfortably Numb bt and now this track have similar progressions.

You make that guitar sing pretty and soulful, Andre. Loved your laid back and repetitive phrasing.

Beautifully played André, your solos are always top notch with perfect timing and pitch on the bends. You’ve honed those skills over the years to perfection.
As an aside, you owe it to yourself to buy a Gibson 335, we’re only here once.Richard

Yup, happy and sad at the same time. I loved that Andalusian cadence BT and you played it well.
