We are asked to express the ‘feeling’ behind the composition. I chose a Latin feel to this composition because I recently lost a dear friend aged 90. She was Italian, a vibrant sole, full of life and love, and loved guitar music. I will miss her very much. R.I.P Cecilia…
A simple repeating chord progression (Am, Dm, G, E, Am) played on my keyboard. The guitar melody targeting passing chord tones and their scales.
Although I like to play all genres as well as the ‘Blues’ Brian has been very influential in the way I go about composing melodies – Thank you Brian.regards

Beautiful melody and a wonderful tribute. I like when the guitar and synth double the melody.

Oh yes, that one’s full of emotion John and played expertly by you. Lovely tone, beautiful sequence and the recording wasn’t bad either.

Superb. Transported me across the seas to another land. I don’t get to hear this genre of music very much. Your friend would be elated at your tribute. 👏

Another outstanding submission. This is so good on many levels John. Well done.

That was sooooo BEAUTIFUL, John!
So sorry for your loss, I truly wish Cecilia could hear you play this for her! 💔There is something so romantic and deeply moving about Latin music, I can’t think of a better way to express melancholic emotions than giving it some Latin vibe. Your composition and the performance were outstanding!

Beautifully composed and played, Edward with a lovely tone from the Ovation. Very sorry for your loss.
I assume the percussion, strings, trumpet etc, were from the electric keyboard. Wish I had that in my arsenal.

Well….the emotion I felt listening to that was: Hope. I don’t know why, but it felt like waking up and looking out the window at the dawn of a new day full of promise. Well played!
