Hi there fellow Amer’s,
The struggle is real. First go was Ep617, but I just can’t get past verse 6, love to do it but that phrasing and strum!. So next…. I have wanted to play the harmonica on a brace and with the guitar… so awkward… but I actually did manage to do that with guitar strumming, so some progress now.
I grabbed a song I wrote back a year ago for an occasion when I finished building the telecaster. The guitar school where I built it would have an end of year showcase at a music bar venue and the guitars would be played by the students or and experienced musician for an afternoon of fun for the public. Unfortunately, it got cancelled and never happened. So now I have been able to turn my written song into a musical performance. It was not wasted after all. Playing 2 verses of the song (I did not want to make it a bigger challenge than what it was). Played the harmonica and guitar and also singing the song.

Wow, Laurel, learning harmonica is challenge enough but doing it while playing guitar simultaneously. I don’t think I have enough RAM for that maneuver.

Laurel I love your song.
Has a nice country vibe.
In which key is the song.
I think playing guitar and harmonica would be a struggle for me.
I have my late father’s harmonica but can’t figure out which way to blow to get the right notes.lolAndréM

Nice job, Laurel. Picking and singing and playing the harmonica. Writing songs. It’s good to hear you expanding your musical repertoire.

Ditto for me, Laurel! That sounded like a major project, but you pulled it off well. Way to go for the gusto and pull off all three!!
