        Hi all,

Here’s my July 2026 challenge, where I’ve tried to put in some space playing some dominant seven arpeggios along with an A blues.

Looking forward to seeing the other submissions.

        Thanks,

        Dermot

Yeah, way to space out the notes! Creates an engaging lead.

Bouncy and peppy, with good timing. Nice little chromatic run in there. Great work!

Great submission Dermot. I found myself waiting to hear the next phrase at each rest. As Bill said, it makes the piece very engaging.

Nice work Dermot, you nailed the challenge brief, keeping the restraint throughout and letting those phrases standout .
                Well played.

Great way to see the fret board. Nice work, Dermot.

Way to maximize just a few notes in the A major scale (especially that major 3rd). You got a nice repeated chromatic walk up to the root note in there as well. Pay attention to what Dermot did here folks. Great work.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Lots of spaces in there, Dermot.
A very nice selection of notes in your improvisation. Well done!

Way to go, Dermot! Wide open spaces in this, and your guitar filled the gaps perfectly. Also liked how you picked up a little in tempo toward the end. Excellent!!
