A bit of a struggle to get this together in time. It was all going to plan, I had a laid back backing track recorded in B minor and just needed to come up with a lead with the necessary pauses and space. Then a medical emergency involving my father intervened. He’s doing OK now, but it’s left no time to compose a lead.
So Plan B “Improvise one and hope for the best” was invoked. I tried to leave lots pf pauses and space but listening back it could have been more. That urge to play something is hard to shake, which is the point of the challenge of course.I also ran out of time for the video, so have cobbled one together with a couple of gratuitous Australian sunsets.
Hoping to get to see everyone else’s posts later in the weekend when I can get some time.

Sounded good to me. Very chill vibe to this one.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Hey Andy, really nice! You created a relaxed vibe and added some well phrased melodic lines. The mood was wonderful and the video fit well too.

Some great improvs there Andy which complemented that haunting backing track. Sounded very calm and collected which is impressive given your last minute emergency. Here’s hoping your father is on the mend.

Kudos on composing that amazing backing track Andy. As regards to “hoping for the best” I think that’s what you got. To come up with that lead off the cuff is quite astonishing. Well done, best wishes for the problems getting sorted out.

What’s not to like about this Andy, sounds great! I thought the spacing was very good for what you were going for. Well thought out composition and played excellently. Really sets a mood.

I thought you did an excellent job of creating a moody piece with plenty of space. It was quite an enjoyable listen. I wish I could improve like you!
