Hi folks for this months challenge, I went with the backing track from EP 617
And took some ideas from that lesson using dissonance etc I also left space in a few places , really enjoyed this one and it sparked many ideas so one to revisit often I think .
        Gear used :
        Guitar : Manson classic
        Amp : Blackstar htr5 mkii
Effects: Boss , reverb , delay , chorus and blues driver pedals
Recorded with a pair of shure sm57 with mic boosters
Look forward to listening to everyone’s ideas for the “ space “ challenge
        Martin

That was very moody, Martin. Very tastefully done, with a lovely tone, and plenty of space to give us time to let things sink in. Sounded like it could be a film score for a psychological thriller.

Great choice of backing track, and you nailed the challenge.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

That was nice and dark and moody Martin. I could absolutely see that on a TV show like Severance. I liked the way you ended it.

Brilliant piece Martin, your improv against that dynamic backing was worthy of a film track. Fulfilled the brief and more so.

Hi Martin, I really liked this one. It has the ambient mood, but also a somewhat western vibe. You found some nice licks to highlight the changes and create the mood. Well done!

                      Great version.
                      Nice playing.
This EP is good for long spaces.

Martin, this was fantastic! Out of the park, you killed it!! Loved your composition. So moody and brooding, yet melodic. Spacing between the notes was perfect to set the vibe.

That was really cool, Martin! It was the space that really made this one stand out. Well played.

You chose one of Brian’s greatest “space” track.
I love that sparkling triad at 1:47 and these effective bends. I also like the harmonized 6ths and that you
are using open strings. The way how the lower and higher melodies respond each other was also very good.
                            Much space left. Well done!
