I didn’t want to post this on Submission Sunday so I waited two days. I ‘ve been working on this piece as of late. It’s not a finished product. It’s sooo bluesy! It reminds me of the Ed King (Lynyrd Skynyrd) tune “Mr. Banker. ” Should have called this “Red Light” blues b/c I must have done 25 takes before getting is postable. Playing my Les Paul Traditional through Boss Katana with some reverb and slap back delay dialed in. My amp settings are: “Clean” with the “Gain” turned up to about 2 o’clock. This LP really growls!!😎

Awesome, John!! May have taken 25 takes, but it was worth the wait. Cheers and have a fantastic week. Happy playing!!

I guess you can have Sunday mornin blues on Tuesday cause Tuesday’s just as bad! 🤪
Nice playing on the LP John and thanks for the amp settings. If using the Katana, it stays on clean or acoustic which I think are the sweet spots for the amp.Mike

That is a nice level of distortion you dialed in there Jonh and you get this nice gravelly tone from it. Sounds great.
As for the 25 takes , you have more patience than I do but, in your case, I am guessing it paid off pretty well. I always get to a point after about 4 takes when I actually start to sound worse 🥴. I just put up with imperfections.

Hey John, this lesson sounds awesome! Yes, very bluesy for sure. Great playing with a mean tone dialled in. All the best! 😎🎸😎

You did it well John. Love that composition and of course getting good with the C shape is very liberating.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.
