        Hello my dearest AMers ♥️ 💖 💓
I don’t think anyone posted a rendition of this “Spanish/Arabic sounding “lesson as Brian describes it!!I loved it instantly!(probably because I’m Greek 🤩🤩)What about you?And I recorded my version of it!!!🤩I hope you’ll enjoy it 🥰😍🥰

Hi Helen, I absolutely loved this. It sounds very professional and your playing and phrasing is meticulous

I was also very drawn to this piece – probably because my wife is Greek Cypriot (and she also mentioned how Mediterranean it sounded).

I gave it a go myself but yours really takes the cake! (I can link it if interested or it can be found on my profile)

Excellent work Hellen. That’s a really fun one to improvise on. When you start getting creative sounds in your head and play them, it’s totally rewarding.

Root note patterns >>> CAGED shapes >>> TRIAD'S. Just put in the work and watch your guitar skills soar.

I enjoyed that one Helen, you definitely had that plaintive Ionian feel to the melody.

I’m sitting here in front of our vacation home, enjoying the beautiful Skopelos landscape, and your music matches it perfectly.

But we will come back, that’s for sure.

Very nice indeed Helen and you know how much I love a Spanish vibe on the guitar. I guess, the only reason I haven’t done that lesson is i don’t have a steel string accoustic 🤔. Very enjoyable listening this morning.

Good to have you back and to see you playing again 😄

Really lovely, Helen. I’m not very familiar with the lesson and I couldn’t tell what was original and what was yours, so that says a great deal. I think we have to expand your title to “Queen of the Harmonic Minor”.
We are working on a new “Relics” collaboration. I am working on using some of these concepts in a strict minor progression.

                                              Hi Helen,

Impressive work here. Some of those chords and runs looked quite difficult to say the least.

The entire piece looked and sounded like it was an original Brian lesson. Wouldn’t have guessed any of it was an improv.

It may be a Spanish tune, but I could easily picture myself listening to this in a Greek taverna in Chania, Crete, overlooking the bay! Now, there’s a beautiful thought – Mark 👍🎶😎 ♥️♥️

I’m currently learning this piece and out of curiosity I’m checking who else played a rendition of this lesson.

In that period I had been out of the forum for a while, so I missed you rendition, Helen.

And I’ve to say now that it’s just lovely, because you crafted and played your own melody over the chords, and it sounds beautiful, I would say even better than the Brian’s version. And also brilliantly played!

I think now I will learn also your composition, and join the two together.
