This is my 2nd favorite version of this song, 2nd only to the Allman Brothers. Performed by none other than
Jethro Tull.
Yep, you read it correctly boys and girls – Jethro Tull.
Before Locomotive Breath and Aqualung, Ian Anderson & Martin Barre was playing the blues doing a great job of it.
Interesting story that Ian was initially playing guitar and became so frustrated with electric guitar that in that frustration, traded his Strat for his first flute. He began imitating Eric Clapton’s lines and others on flute, realized that he could do it well and the rest is history.
Enjoy
That is flat killer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it. When you post these songs and I hear them at 4:30 am, I want to go outside and dance. My place is too small. With the nuts around here I won’t be noticed …..Heheheheh Ian is such a great flute player. Jethro Tull was so cool……..
