Two choruses of a 12bar blues, using two licks I love; one from EP246 and one from EP330
…and seeing as we’re into repurposing, I repurposed my self-created backing track from the March challenge 😛

Excellent wpb! Loved your playing and tone. Everything was spot on in this.

Outstanding wpb! Playing the blues is right up your ally.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Done with absolute perfection, wpb! Your style of playing is picture and tone perfect, wonder if you have ever considered becoming an online guitar instructor because I can totally see you in that role 😎🎸

You’re too kind – I don’t think I’m good enough to teach others.
To be totally honest – I get very anxious about posting things I create. I’m very self critical and judgemental of them. I am truly surprised that anyone listens and actually enjoy and comment positively.
Tone wise, I have found what works for me – turn on the valve amp, get a nice clean tone and then turn on an overdrive to add a little growl and then a reverb (plate/spring) and I’m happy to play. I used to be so tied into playing with loads of different effects, etc – then someone highlighted that the blues pros of yesteryear would turn up to play/record and had to use whatever amp was there, with minimal effects, so I chose to follow their footsteps.

Excellent submission, I just wish it had gone for a bit longer. I really enjoyed it and was also impressed with your backing track.

What can I say? WPB, a great backing track and even better, to-the-point playing. I’m left with the pleasure of listening to it.

That was another knock-out arrangement using the 12 bar blues. As I am using your March Challenge for educational purposes to get the blues into my soul and into feeling it, this one also gives me the variety of ways to think about the blues when using the same backing track. I agree with Jola, although you could do it for our Member Teaching Members in the forum. Hang around the best and I might catch the blues.

Wow – I’m truly honoured – and surprised. If there’s anything you want to ask about my playing, feel free to ask

WPB, nice playing here. Based on you response to Jola’s comments, I would like to recomend a book for you; The Inner Game of Music by Berry Green. Its a great read and addresses the way you think about your playing. If you read it, let me know what you think via AM message. Cheers. Pap

WPB-
Smokin’ hot Telly action my friend. You performance is smooth and clear; reminiscent of some live Chicago Blues as it should be played. Love your tone as well.John
