Excellent version Byron.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Well seriously Byron, you have outdone yourself on this version. So polished, the riff, the rhythm and singing. Your singing on this version has also improved, words are more clearer and having the ability to go into a falsetto at various times just adds more dimension to your arrangement.
Captured the essence of this fav song and it’s elements with a Top Notch result. I have already listened to it twice. Congrats.-

This is probably my most favorite song of all time and i wanted to do it justice, i can really relate to the song. Well most songs I play I do. I worked hard on this take and wanted it to be the best it could be!
My voice did crack a little near the end and i almost wanted to redo it just because of that but I left it in there and I had already done a few takes before this one and didnt wanna do it again lol. I guess its the imperfections that makes us human yeah? So thats why i left it in there lol.
I think i got my lead riff playing out of sync in the recording 🙁 Dunno how i managed to mess that up lol.
Plus the end is awesome with my little Oakajoke!
Thanks for the feedback and everything! I really appreciate it!

This was an exceptionally good cover Byron. One of your best.

I agree with the above comments: very probably your best cover so far, really tight! With just two guitars and your vocals you perfectly recreated the mood of the song. Very well played and sung, Byron!

Just a question for whoever sees this!
I had some comment on social media they thought the guitars/riff was maybe slightly off timing? I cant tell it! I mean i bob my head to it and everything seems on point so im not sure what they are hearing.

The only thing that matters is you are improving the more your work on your craft and getting enjoyment out of it. I’m a very big stickler on rhythm and I know when I’m in the groove or not. The more you know the given sequence whether lead or rhythm, the more of a chance you have of getting into the groove. It takes a lot of work to polish all of the tunes we know so there is always something we can nit pick about. I think you did a great job in this cover tune and it is clear you were in a good jamming groove on this one.
Can you improve on it? Of course, the process of improving never ends. If you want to make it even better, think about how you can incorporate more dynamics in everything your do. I’m sure there are other aspects that you can improve on but if you were in a live situation, no one would ever notice. So it’s good by me. When the timing is off grossly, that’s where I have to send myself back to the woodshed until I can get it in the groove.

Thanks man! Thats so true!!! 😀 Yes you can always improve on something, thats what i like to strive for!
Theres some things i can think of on this take to improve as well BUT i know some of my covers can be kinda meh.
I just like to do a song and move on to the next but when you create something pretty decent it feels pretty good and like an accomplishment. Thats kinda how i am with my stuff but the imperfections do bother me a little. But i know nothings perfect! 😀
Thanks for the feedback! I was just curious beacause im not hearing the slightly off beat thing they are mentioning. Could be my DAW settings or whatnot or maybe i was playing off beat lol.
But when i bob my head to it, its on point to me. Thats what i was wondering!
