Hi folks , my submission for this month’s key of D challenge, I went with EP 628
Love the melodic content of this one ,after playing the lesson I added two further passes , keeping with the harmonised 6th theme at the end of each one .
Look forward to listening to everyone’s ideas for this month.

Hi Martin, this is really beautiful! Your tone fits the track perfectly, and your melodic choices tell a quiet story that draws the listener in. Those 6ths are little gems in the crown. Very enjoyable!

I love this composition, and you played it with a soulful style that brought out the best of it. Great job. Try playing this in the guitar store, it will turn heads.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Martin we did the same EP.
Bravo on your improv, very nice.
Me I only did 4 passes of the same, no improv.
Took me too much time just learning it note for note.

That’s really a great quality recording, Martin – perfect job of mixing, I would say. Nice to see your hybrid picking in action. And your improv fitted perfectly. Looks like EP628 might become one of Brian’s most popular lessons.

I agree with everyone so far Martin…that was excellent playing and tone. It was smooth and luscious and your improv took it over the top.

Great choice of lesson, that’s right your style.
Played with much feel…and I love that tone on your Surfy.
I see that you are hybrid picking.
I very much your harmonized and (West) country sounding lead lines.
                          These slides sound so sweet.

Looking forward to meeting you in Wales soon!

This is a popular choice this month, isn’t it? Love your rendition, Martin! You dialed just a perfect tone on your custom guitar, I can’t imagine it sounding any better. Nice dynamics, loved when you dug in a little somewhere in the middle, the tone got even better! Great hybrid picking, loved the slides and the harmonies. You say you added two more verses but to my ear, it all sounded like the original composition, with the same tasteful restraint to leave spaces between phrases. Simply beautiful!
