Hi there Fellow Am’ers, It’s been a while since I have been able to make a Challenge deadline, not that I haven’t tried. This is Ep594, I was inspired from Dieter’s. – ‘Showcase Your Playing’ recently where he played this Ep on his Telecaster. I so wanted to learn this on my telecaster and because it is Key of D, perfect opportunity to pursue it for the Challenge. With perseverance I was able to get a result, it didn’t look too promising when I first started on it.

That Tele twang really took hold amongst your beautiful playing Laurel. Very nice.

Sounding good, Laurel. Bending them strings and making it cry. Good to hear you in the challenges again.

Great to see you back, Laurel! I’m quite impressed by your performance here, very smooth and confident with a nice twangy tele tone – really good work. I can see why you got inspired, such a beautiful piece by Brian. Glad you made it this time.

Great choice. I love these sweet country lessons, especially those with pedal steel licks.
You played these very well. Your beautiful blue Tele with bridge pickup had the right sound for it.
Well done! I need to revisit that lesson.

Nice job getting this piece together for the challenge. I like the reverb you dialed in, gives a unique quality to the lead. Well played!

Laurel, good to see and hear you back at the challenges.
And what a great lesson choice. I love this EP, because it sounds so beautiful.
But it’s so difficult to make it sound beautiful when you play it yourself.
You certainly managed to do that here. I really enjoyed listening to it.Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup will be on February 28, 2026For more information click here
I look forward to meet you.

Laurel
Your performance was evocative and tasty! I love your tone-so reverb groovy. This is by far your best submission. I always appreciate your kind words, inspiration and watching your growth as a player. Really good job, keep it up. Sounded very pedal steel-ish. Is the Tele a new addition? If so, congrats and keep on twangin’!John
