I’m a fairly new player and I have a question about a particular technique. This is a little less bluesy and a little more rock/blues, but I hear this quite a bit in a lot of different songs and cant seem to figure out how its done. An example I can give is from the song Since Ive been lovin you from Led Zep. After the intro, Jimmy breaks into a bit of a solo, its the start of that that I can not seem to get. Sounds like a real quick set of pull offs. I have tried to recreate the sound but I must be doing something wrong cause I’m not even close, lol. Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hmm – not sure which part of the song your talking about.. because the album version of “Since I’ve Been Loving You” (the one that’s on Zeppelin III) starts with a solo more or less, so I guess I’m not sure which part you’re calling the intro – the intro itself is a solo. Just let me know what time stamp in the song the part is that you’re talking about and I’ll help figure out what he’s doing.
